Outlook. On iOS, it’s a great experience, and actively getting better. But I find it mostly unusable on OS X. Just too much junk. (Hi Javier! We are all counting on you!)”

This is exactly how I feel. If the Acompli team can make Outlook for Mac anywhere close to as good as the iOS app, I would be the world’s biggest Outlook fanboy (gasp — never thought I’d say that).

I may be a relic of a forgotten age, but I would pay a lot of money for a fast desktop client with great design/UX + snoozing. Like you, I just don’t love web mail apps, despite numerous attempts to get used to Gmail.com. Unfortunately, all of the investment (in time and in money) is happening on mobile, where it’s already kind of crowded.
